We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Leading Hand and Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Warehouse Leading Hand, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate tasks, and provide guidance to the warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to handle, store, and transport goods within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the warehouse team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and ensure proper maintenance of forklifts.
- Assist in inventory management, including stocktaking and cycle counting.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of order picking and packing.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift license and proven experience as a forklift operator.
- Previous experience in a warehouse leading hand role or similar supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfilment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to workplace health and safety regulations.
