We are seeking a skilled and experienced Interstate Line-haul MC Driver to join our team. As an MC Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across state borders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy vehicles, specifically MC class vehicles, for interstate line-haul transport.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and adhere to all relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and secure cargo for transportation.
- Plan and follow designated routes, considering factors such as road conditions, traffic, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logbooks, trip sheets, and any required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable transport laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid MC driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as an interstate line-haul driver, including experience operating MC class vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of goods.
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanour.
- Understanding of devices to ensure photographic proof of collection and delivery is recorded.
